Privacy Policy
1. Overview
TaliAI (“Tali”, “we”, “us”) is a personal day-planner and habit tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Tali, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information when you use Tali:
- Account information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, email address, and basic profile information (such as your name and profile picture).
- Calendar data: When you connect Google Calendar, we may access your calendars and events so that Tali can display them, create new events, and update or delete events at your request.
- App usage data: We may store information about events you create inside Tali, settings you change, and interactions with scheduling features.
- Technical data: We may log IP address, browser type, device characteristics, and basic diagnostics to keep the service secure and running reliably.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- Show your events in the calendar interface.
- Create, update, and delete calendar events when you ask Tali to do so.
- Provide scheduling suggestions and features inside the app.
- Maintain and improve the reliability, performance, and security of Tali.
- Communicate with you about important changes, issues, or updates.
4. Google user data
If you choose to connect your Google account, Tali uses Google APIs to access Google user data such as basic profile information (for example, your email address and account identifier) and Google Calendar data (your calendars and events). This access is limited to the scopes you approve during the Google consent process.
How we use Google user data. We use Google user data only to provide Tali features you request, such as displaying your Google calendars/events in Tali and creating, updating, or deleting Google Calendar events when you choose to sync or make changes through Tali.
How we store Google user data. If you connect Google, we store the minimum information needed to keep the integration working, including Google account identifiers and OAuth credentials/tokens (such as access tokens and refresh tokens), along with the scopes you approved and token expiration information. We may also store calendar/event identifiers needed for syncing.
How we share Google user data. We do not sell your Google user data. We do not share Google user data with third parties except (a) with service providers who help us operate Tali (and only to the extent needed to provide the service), or (b) if required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and security.
Retention and deletion. We retain Google connection data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can disconnect Google at any time; when you do, we stop accessing Google data and we delete or revoke stored Google OAuth credentials within a reasonable period, subject to legal or security obligations.
Tali's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the requirements for limited use.
5. Cookies and local storage
Tali uses cookies and similar technologies primarily to keep you signed in and to protect your account. These cookies may store a session or authentication token tied to your user account.
6. Data storage and retention
We store your account information, calendar events, and related data in databases so that Tali can remember your schedule across sessions. We keep this data for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the service.
If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personally identifiable information within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligations.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in limited situations:
- With service providers who help us run Tali (such as hosting and infrastructure).
- To comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable request.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Tali, our users, or others.
8. Your choices
- Google account connection: You can disconnect Tali from your Google account at any time through your Google account settings or by contacting us.
- Access and deletion: You can contact us to request access to or deletion of your stored data, subject to reasonable verification and legal obligations.
9. Children's privacy
Tali is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Tali after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
